Wild Ivory Registered Nurse Birth Coach
Job Description:
Wild Ivory Registered Nurse Birth Coaches are private practice RN's with specialized training and experience in labor and delivery. They provide clients with individualized consultation, support and nursing services during pregnancy and birth.
Services include;
-consultation throughout pregnancy, labor and birth
-health history taking
-assessments, care planning, implementation of interventions and evaluation of care
-advocacy
-compassion and encouragement
-teaching
-referrals
-home visits
-collaboration with clients in creating an individualized birth preferences guide
-in-home early labor assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and follow-up
-direction for timing of transfer to planned birth place
-presence and advocacy during active labor and birth at the client’s chosen place of birth
*Wild Ivory Birth Coaches do not provide nursing, medical or midwifery care for women in active labor or birth*
-emotional support and non-medicinal physical comfort measures during labor and birth
-provision of scholarly, evidenced-based knowledge throughout pregnancy and during the birth experience, enabling families to make informed decisions
-collaboration and communication with the client’s health care team
-breastfeeding teaching and support
-knowledge and experience to identify and respond to emergency situations

Wild Ivory Registered Nurse Birth Coaches should be objective practitioners who support the informed choice of each family, without judgement. They should be comfortable supporting families who choose to birth naturally, without analgesia, but also accept and support any choices families make during the birth process. Wild Ivory RN Birth Coaches understand their role, maintain their scope of practice and work together with families’ health care teams to promote a positive and safe birth experience.
Wild Ivory Registered Nurse Birth Coaches manage and deliver client care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. They apply critical thinking skills to resolve problems and communicate appropriately with the client’s health care team.
Wild Ivory Registered Nurse Birth Coaches follow provincial regulatory guidelines, code of ethics and standards of practice. They adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by Wild Ivory Inc.
Qualifications:
-BScN, RN in province of nursing practice
-current registration with the Nursing Regulatory College of their province
-3+ years of nursing labor and delivery experience
-current BLS certification, including infant
-neonatal resuscitation certification
-fetal health surveillance certification

Wild Ivory Registered Nurse Postpartum Coach
Job Description:
Wild Ivory Postpartum Coaches are private practice Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses with specialized post-birth knowledge and experience. They provide in-home nursing consultations, teaching, support and advocacy for new parents.
Services include:
-maternal and newborn physical assessments
-health history taking
-assessments, care planning, implementation of interventions and evaluation of care
-assessment of postpartum bleeding, infection, pain, healing, emotional well-being and coping of the family
-assessment of newborn including head-to-toe checks, umbilical cord care, newborn jaundice, feeding, alert/sleep cycles
-advocacy
-compassion and encouragement

-home visits
-emotional support and non-medicinal physical comfort measures post birth

Job Description:
Wild Ivory Lactation Consultants are private practice nurses with specialized training as Lactation Consultants. All Wild Ivory Lactation Consultants are International Board Certified. They are healthcare professionals who have obtained the highest level of training within the area of lactation. They specialize in the clinical management of breastfeeding and providing lactation support. I
Services include;
-provide comprehensive prenatal breastfeeding care planning and education
-perform comprehensive maternal, child and feeding assessments related to breastfeeding and human lactation
-teaching regarding; baby’s feeding cues/hunger signs, feeding positions (breast and bottle), signs baby is getting enough milk, breast pumps/pumping
-latch and positioning adjustments, suck training exercises
-information on infant feeding options other than breast-feeding and breastmilk
-referrals, as necessary

Wild Ivory In-home Nanny
Job Description:
Wild-Ivory Nannies are non-medical professionals who help families with daily living activities. They work together with the client to create an individualized plan of helpful services, specific to what is most important to each family’s needs. Nannies choose to work daytime, nighttime or on-call hours.
Services include;
-Listen to client needs and prepare a plan to provide the most helpful services that matter most to the individual family. As per the family’s requests services may include;
-providing light housekeeping such as tidying, vacuuming, moping, dusting, sanitizing, organizing, laundry, washing dishes, changing bedding, watering plants
-providing outdoor services such as shovelling, sweeping, mowing grass, watering plants
-providing meal preparation, cooking, baking, pre-made meal preparation
-childcare for other children including possible drop-off or pick-up from school or activities
-outside the home services including grocery shopping, errand running, driving mother and newborn to appointments
-bottle and breast-pump cleaning and sterilization and formula preparation (teaching will be provided by Wild Ivory)
-attending to newborn; holding, rocking, changing diapers and clothing, bathing, (newborn care teaching will be provided by Wild Ivory)

Job Description:
Are you passionate about event design and decor? Are your family and friends always asking you for help decorating their events? Are you good at listening to someone else’s celebration vision and then helping to make it happen for them?
Wild Ivory Celebration Specialists work together with families to create meaningful moments and lasting memories in the celebration of their pregnancy, birth and new baby! They help plan, design and host pregnancy announcement parties, gender reveal parties, mother blessing ceremonies and baby showers!
This job requires creative thinking from concept to completion and the ability to build rapport and positive, fun relationships with clients.
Services include;
-communicate with clients to understand their unique event vision. Work together with the client throughout the planning process
-assist with event planning and execution, preparation, invitations, catering planning, decor, hosting, moderation and clean-up
-creation of a beautiful space to host the celebration
-facilitation of the event activities and ceremonies

Job Description:
Are you an experienced professional photographer? Do you love capturing intense and beautiful moments and emotions on film? Do you love photographing pregnant mamas, families and newborn babies?
Our Wild Ivory Photographers do maternity, birth, family and newborn photography. Photographers attend clients’ labor and birth experience and capture meaningful moments on film and video, as requested by the client. They consult ahead of time with clients to ensure they capture what is most important to the family and are sensitive to any cultural or other considerations.
